CHDP working together for a better society

Community Health and Development Programme is a Non Government Organization founded and registered in 1983 under society act holding FCRI, 12A, and 80G. It’s working for tribal and rural community for the past 30 years in Udumalpet Block of Tirupur District Tamilnadu South India.

To work for the development of Tribal and rural Community through peoples participation.

Our Mission
Build empowered and self reliant people of Tribals, rural poor, small farmers, Women and Youth in the CHDP adopted area of the Tamilnadu and Kerala state by enhancing the capacity of CHDP staffs and evolving sustainable development programme focused on Gender, Equality Human rights and Environmental Protection through Peoples Participation.
Our Vision
CHDP envisions society that based on a just sustainable order, a society where all downtrodden groups,Tribals,Rural poor, Slum dwellers,Un organized sectors of Women, Youth and Children and Agricultural workers collectively participated in alternative Socio-economic cultural and political development Programme based on the principles of Justice, Equality, Liberty and Fraternity.

Objectives

⦁ To organize mobilize and enable Women and Youth for their Socio Economic Development.

⦁ To promote sustainable agricultural practices of small and marginal farmers.

⦁ To enhance capacities and skills of the community and staff based on the needs to achieve / realize the objectives. 

⦁ To facilitator the focus groups to address and overcome Social, Economical, Cultural, and Political (SECP) issues that they encounter.

⦁ To initiate the implement activities that protects the rights of Women and children.

⦁ To build peoples movements among the focus groups and federate them at network level over a period of time towards their SECP empowerment.

⦁ To promote awareness on health related issues to enable people to safeguard their health rights.

⦁ To promote and establish people based alternatives systems of health care.
